Services were to be held at 2:30 p.m. today from the First Baptist Church in Wheeler for Leonard Arnold Gardner, 63, who passed away Wednesday morning.

Mr. Gardner is survived by his wife and five children. Sons are Vernon and E.L. and daughters include Mrs. Alvis Mize, Misses Mirtise Jewel and Mrytle Gardner. All live in Wheeler. Four grandchildren also survive.

Mr. Gardner was born February 10, 1882 and he and Mrs. Gardner, the former Edna Mae Poulston, were married October 20, 1910 at Coumble, Oklahoma. The family moved to Wheeler in 1928. He had been a member of the Baptist church since he was 19 years of age.

Rev. P.D. Fullingim, pastor of the local Baptist Church, will be in charge of the funeral services. Pall bearers will include R.D. Barber, Otis Reid, Terrell Gunter, Luther Parks, Charlie Bradshaw and Jesse Threatt. Flower bearers are to be Mrs. Jewel Cunningham, Mrs. Opal Deanham, Mrs. Dannie Shurfield and Mrs. Rutha Mae Burgess.

Burial will be in the Wheeler cemetery under the direction of the Hunt Funeral Home.

Services will be 3 p.m. today in the Wheeler Church of Christ for E.L. Gardner, 50, of Amarillo. Mr. Gardner died Sunday.

Officiating will be Lee Henry, pastor, and burial in Wheeler Cemetery will be by Wright Funeral Home.

He had been a resident of Wheeler from 1925-45 and had lived in Amarillo since 1955. He was an electrician.

He is survived by the widow, two sons, two daughters, one brother, two sisters and five grandchildren.
