Vickie Walker Barrett, 44, died Sunday,Jan. 20, 1991. Services will be at 11:30 am today in the Settegast-Kopf Funeral Home Chapel in Houston. Graveside services will be at 1:30 pm Wednesday in the Wheeler Cemetery by Wright Funeral Home.
Mrs. Barrett was born Nov 13, 1946 in Wheeler. She was a 1964 graduate of Wheeler High School and graduated from Baylor School of Nursing in 1969. The former Vickie Walker married Kenneth Barrett in 1972 at Denton. She was employed as a registered nurse at Vanderbilt Hospital at Nashville, Tenn., and Methodist Hospital in Houston. She lived in Houston from 1972 to 1988, moving to Wheeler, and moved back to Houston in 1989.
Survivors include her husband, a son Travis Barrett, a daughter Tracy Barrett both of the home, her father M.W. " Bus Walker of Wheeler, three brothers, Bob Henderson and Larry Henderson both of Longview, and Jerry Henderson of Rosebud, S.D. and a sister, Sarah Blakemore of Dallas.
