WHEELER - Dolores Watson Spurr, 80, died Monday, Dec. 21, 2009.
Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in First Baptist Church in Wheeler with Stephen L. Bryne officiating. Burial will be in Wheeler Cemetery by Wright Funeral Home.
Dolores was born Jan. 26, 1929, in Wheeler to Alfred and Hazel Watson. Her grandparents were Edd and Jodie Watson, who owned the old Watson Hotel. She lived in Wheeler and Pampa while growing up and going to school.
Dolores took pride in being a native Texan, loved people and loved hearing their stories.
She was preceded in death by a son, Sammy A. Johnson, in 1965.
Survivors include her husband, Bob Spurr of Oklahoma City; three daughters, Judith Barker and husband Gary of Salem, Ore., Vicki Dismukes and husband Bobby of Oklahoma City and Pamela Corby and husband Scott of Norman, Okla.; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
