WHEELER - Jo Ann Porter Millet Taylor, 68, died Sunday, June 23, 2002, in Lubbock.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today in Wheeler Cemetery with Dr. Toby Henson, pastor of First Baptist Church of Wheeler, officiating. Arrangements are by Wright Funeral Home.

Mrs. Taylor was born Nov. 7, 1933, in Mobeetie, to George and Mildred Hampton Porter. She and her family moved to Wheeler in her early life. She graduated from Wheeler High School in 1951.

She attended Texas Tech University until her marriage to Paul Millet, when she became an Air Force wife. During the time when her husband was in the Air Force, they lived in Shreveport, La., Cheyenne, Wyo., and Fairbanks, Alaska.

In 1959, they returned to Wheeler, where she was a member of First Baptist Church, Order of the Eastern Star and Thursday Review Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Georgie Snyder; and a son, San Millet.

Survivors include a daughter, Georgann Burrell of Amarillo; a granddaughter, Erica Burrell of Amarillo; a grandson, Jordan Burrell of Amarillo; her ex-husband, Paul Millet of Amarillo; a brother-in-law, Bill Snyder; a niece, Melissa Snyder; a nephew, Bill Snyder III; an uncle, Dennis Porter; and nine cousins.

The family suggests memorials be to National MS Society; or American Cancer Society.
