Services were held January 5, for Vera Mae Trimble, 53, of Briscoe. Mrs. Trimble had passed away January 3 in Amarillo.

Officiating at the services at First Baptist Church was Rev. Jerry Parker, Pastor. Burial was in Wheeler Cemetery. Pallbearers were Mike Bell, Mike Castle, Wayne Childress, Clyde Dukes, Gene Ferguson, K.D. Ford, Melvin Hunt, Milton Liles and Troy Miller.

Born in Fargo, Oklahoma, Mrs. Trimble married her husband, Ed, in 1972 in Erick. She had moved to the Briscoe area this past year from Sweetwater. She was employed by Briscoe Public Schools.

Survivors include her husband; six sons, Clyde Murray of Briscoe, Wesley Childress of Weatherford, Okla., David Trimble of Amarillo, Stan Trimble of Dumas, Dan Trimble and Archie Trimble of Briscoe; six daughters, Ann VanTassle of Beloit, Wis., Claudia Jordan of Eglin Air Force Base, Fla., Carolyn Ehmann of Miami, Susan Bayne of Woodward, Okla., Teresa Seuhs of Miami, and Alesa Green of Wheeler; six brothers Don Bennett of Fort Stockton, Lewis Bennett of Iowa, Jack Bennett of Borger, Dwayne Bennett of Dumas, Wesley Bennett of Rapid City, S.D., and Edmond Bennett of Notrees; two sisters, Louise Wilson of Canadian and Ruth Humphreys of Hartford, Conn. and 33 grandchildren.
