*Obituary
Marcheta Underwood, 61, died Monday, February 16, 1987.
Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 18 in Wheeler Church of Christ. Rev. Bill Morrison, minister, officiated. Burial was in Wheeler Cemetery by Wright Funeral Home.
Mrs. Underwood was born in Mexia and attended Odessa schools. She was married to R.D. Underwood in 1948 in Odessa. They moved to Wheeler five years ago from Texas City. She was a registered nurse, working at Texas City Hospital until 1982. She was a member of Church of Christ and Wheeler County Demonstration Club.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Karen Underwood and Sherry Underwood, both of San Francisco, Calif.; and three sisters, Mary Frances Petterson, Esther Kate Hendrix and Joanne Heizer, all of Dallas.
Pallbearers were Leon Fillingim, John McCoy, Larry Peterson, Steve Peterson, Doug Rives, David Van Meter.
