Funeral services for James Boydston, 80, who died Sunday at Veterans Hospital in Amarillo following a lengthy illness, were held Wednesday at Rose Chapel with the Rev. Gerald Mann officiating.

Mr. Boydston, who lived at 119 Aspen and was a rancher, came to Deaf Smith County from Dallas County in 1900. He married Marie Casebolt in September of 1919 at Bovina.

Survivors include his wife, of Hereford; a son, Jack, of Lubbock and three sisters, Lula Adkisson, of Ft. Sumner, N.M.; Ada Whisenaut of Roswell, N.M., and Zella Gwyn of Wildorado.

Pallbearers were Tom Robinson, Bill Masey, Lee Newman, Hicks Roberson, Glenn Witherspoon and Willard Witherspoon.
