Funeral services for A.G. Ratcliff, 68 years old, former resident of Hereford, were conducted last Monday afternoon from the First Methodist Church here at 3 o'clock.
Mr. Ratcliff, whose home is in Roy, New Mexico, passed away in an Amarillo hospital Saturday night.
Rev. E.B. Fincher, pastor of the Ellwood Presbyterian Church was in charge of the services.
Mr. Ratcliff was born in Richmond, Va. He came to Hereford in 1907 and lived here until 1932, when he moved to Roy, N.M.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Maria Laird Ratcliff; one daughter, Mrs. A.C. Flowers of this city; three sons, Sam of Amarillo, Shade of Hereford, and Glenn of Rotan, Texas; and three brothers, W.H. of Hot Springs, Ark., Armand of Bluefield, Va., and Dr. H.M. Ratcliff of New York City.
Out of town people here for the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. W.C. Meherg, Sr., of Amarillo, Mr. and Mrs. W.C. Meherg, Jr., of Amarillo, Miss Mary Meherg of Amarillo and Mrs. Lawrence Buckmaster of Dimmitt

Following an illness of more than two years, Mrs. A.G. Ratcliff, a pioneer of the Hereford territory, died Friday night at the Godwin Hospital and funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Methodist Church, with the Rev. Marvin Boyd in charge.
Mrs. Ratcliff first came to Hereford in 1908 and lived here until 1931, when she moved to New Mexico. Following the death of her husband about four years ago, she returned to Hereford, where she had since made her home.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. A.C. Flowers of Hereford, three sons, S.R. Ratcliff, Amarillo and Olen and Shade Ratcliff of Rotan, and five grandchildren.
Burial was in West Park Cemetery.
