Tommy Carroll SEMINOLE-
Funeral services for Tommy Carroll, 68, of Seminole will be conducted Saturday, Dec. 26, 2015, at 1 p.m. in the First Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Ramirez officiating, assisted by Rev. Ned Nugent. Interment will follow in the Gaines County Cemetery with services under the direction of Ratliff Funeral Home of Seminole. He passed away Monday, Dec. 21st in Seminole.

Tommy was born May 4, 1947, in Amarillo, Texas, to Wayne and Modena Carroll. He was a graduate of Tascosa High School in May of 1966. Tommy proudly served in the United States Marines Corps from 1967-1973 as a Lance Corporal. He began work for Southwestern Public Services/XCell Energy in 1969 as a working foreman until retiring in 2014. Tommy married the love of his life Connie on Jan. 26, 1979, in Lovington, NM. Tommy was a proud and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, great-grandfather and friend. His love of life was his family whom he devoted his life to making them happy and loved them deeply; he also very much enjoyed fishing. You will always be in our hearts though you are no longer here on earth with us. We love you more and wait for the day to see you again, meeting us at the gates of Heaven.

Tommy is survived by his loving wife, Connie Carroll of Seminole; three daughters, Carmen Roberts and husband, Dale of Seminole, Dena Miller and husband, Matt of Keller, Robin Thompson and husband, Trey of Dimmitt; a son, Scott Norris of Seminole; grandchildren, Brady Roberts, Kynnedy Miller, Kezlie and Landrie Thompson, Angela Tatsch and husband, Bradley; great-grandsons, Layton and Roston Tatsch; a brother, John Carroll and wife, Paulette of Dalhart; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a granddaughter, Shelbee Roberts. Family and friends visitation will be held at Ratliff Funeral Home on Saturday, Dec. 26th from 10 to 11 a.m. Along with flowers, the family suggests that you make memorials to St. Jude’s Children Hospital.

Connie Garate Carroll, of Seminole went to be with the Lord on Saturday June 4, 2022. Funeral services will be at the First Baptist Church in Seminole at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 9, 2022, with Joe Stewart, Mike Carter and Jerry Ramirez officiating, burial to follow in Gaines County Cemetery in Seminole. Arrangements are being handled by Ratliff Funeral Home of Seminole. Family and friend visitation will be Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Ratliff Funeral Home.

Connie was born on February 8, 1944, in Calvert to Joe and Carmen Garate. She married the love of her life Tommy Carroll on January 26, 1979, in Lovington, New Mexico and moved to Seminole that same year. She was a beloved nurse for many years in Denver City and Seminole and loved her community. She loved antiques and antique hunting and it became a hobby for her and Tommy for many years. Tommy and Connie owned and operated Looking Glass Antiques in Seminole for a few years. Connie was especially devoted to her family as they remained her primary focus throughout her life. Her grandchildren were the light of her life. She was a wonderful, giving person and those around her knew they could rely on her for anything they needed. She was always there to hold our hands and pray and loved all of those around her. She has been there through all the good times and was right there to lift you up during any bad times. She loved her siblings and friends and loved being on the go.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Carroll, her parents Joe and Carmen Garate, her brother Jesse Garate, a granddaughter Shelbee Dayle Roberts and brother-in-law Johnny Nevarez.
