*Obituary Richard Whitson
Richard Whitson, 50, of Nazareth died Monday in Amarillo's St. Anthony's Hospice Center after a lengthy illness.
Services were held at 2:30 p.m. today in Rose Chapel. Burial was in West Park Cemetery under the direction of Gililland-Watson Funeral Home.
Mr. Whitson was born in the Walcott community and moved from Tulia to Nazareth in 1985. He married Betty Jean Hearne in 1985 in Enid, Okla. She died in June of 1987. He was a Catholic.
Survivors include two sons, Clive of Amarillo and Leon of Hereford; five daughters, Claudene McElroy and Pam Marchman, both of Hereford, Marsha Sharp of Sudan, Donna Garton of Mangum, Okla. and Kay Shipp of Summerfield; two brothers, James of Hereford and John Leinen of Stinnett; 20 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
