HEREFORD - Isabel Serrano, 76, died Monday, Oct. 6, 2008, in Amarillo.

Prayer vigil will be at 7 p.m. today in Rix Funeral Directors Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Thursday in La Iglesia de San Jose with Monsignor Mesa as celebrant. Burial will be in West Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Serrano was born July 8, 1934, in Georgetown to Augustine and Mary Ruth Cano Rodriguez. Survivors include six daughters, Carol Macias and husband Sam of Angel Fire, N.M., Celia Serrano and Linda Gonzales, both of Hereford, Amelia Carlton of Canyon, Mary Sevarez of Guadalajara, Mexico, and Lydia Castenada of Amarillo; a son, Anselmo Serrano of Hereford; 17 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
