FRIONA - Funeral services for Robert Connell Short, 43, former Friona resident, were held this afternoon at the Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Jake Armstrong, pastor, officiating.

Burial was in West Park Cemetery in Hereford under the direction of Claborn Funeral Home of Friona.

Mr. Short, a native of Hereford, died Tuesday night in an Abilene hospital following an illness of several months.

A three-year resident of Friona prior to moving to Abilene three years ago, Mr. Short was employed by an irrigation well services while in Friona.

Surviving are brothers, J.D. of Rico, Colo., George of Roswell, N.M., Charles of Friona and Glenn of Hereford; sisters, Mrs. Lois Jennings of Hereford, Mrs. Mary Klawetter of Fort Worth and Mrs. Wanda Jean Bellamy of Kennewick, Wash., and his stepmother, Mrs. Louise Short of Portales, N.M.
