HEREFORD - Funeral services for Albert Leroy Thompson, 69, a resident of Deaf Smith County since 1902, were to be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Gililland Funeral Home Rose Chapel.

The Rev. Gerald Mann, pastor of the First Baptist Church here, was to officiate. Burial was to be in West Park Cemetery here.

Mr. Thompson died early Sunday morning in the High Plains Baptist Hospital in Amarillo. He was born in Marietta, Okla., and married Flossie Faye Valentine, in March 1917 in Amarillo. He was a retired elevator operator and a Baptist.

Survivors include his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Charles Laing of Hereford; a son, Billy Ray of Hereford; three sisters, Mrs. Harry Sisk of California, Mrs. Ida Davis and Mrs. Nora Russell, both of Hereford; nine grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

HEREFORD - Funeral services are set for 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Rose Chapel of the Gililland Funeral Home here for Mrs. Flossie Faye Thompson, 69.

Officiating will be the Rev. Gerald Mann, pastor of the First Baptist Church. Burial will be in West Park Cemetery here.

A resident of Hereford for 61 years, Mrs. Thompson died at 1:10 a.m. Sunday in the Deaf Smith County Hospital.

She was born in Colchester, Ill., and moved in 1907 to Hereford.

She married Albert L. Thompson on March 10, 1917, in Amarillo.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hereford.

Survivors include a son, Billie Ray of 2132 S. Fairfield in Amarillo; a daughter, Marny Ann Laing of Hereford; three sisters, Mrs. Alma Hooper of Amarillo, Mrs. Mary Frazer of Hereford and Mrs. Zelphia Lloyd of Seminole; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
