Mary M. Young, 91, departed this life Tuesday, May 9, 2006 at a local care center.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Friday at White Funeral Chapel in Tahoka. Burial will be at Tahoka Cemetery in Tahoka beside her husband, Homer A. Young. Visitation will be 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday at White Funeral Chapel.
Mrs. Young was born Oct. 29, 1914, at Eustace in Henderson County, Texas. There, she met and married her husband and began their family. In 1943, they moved to New Home and lived there until 1960, when they bought their home in Wilson. She lived in Wilson until becoming disabled in 1998. She has resided in Richland Hills Nursing and Rehabilitation Center since then where the staff has taken wonderful care of her.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Homer; three children, Robert Lee, Jerry Gene and Judy Carolyn; two grandchildren, Mikel Davis and Elizabeth Young Prihoda; nine brothers and sisters.
