Catherine Viola Ruth "Sissy" Young was born July 29, 1918 in Farmersville to William and Lucy Baker. She passed away in Lubbock Sunday, Sept. 19, 2004. She was married to Eddie William Young. He preceded her in death July 5, 1985. She was a homemaker. She attended Faith Temple and was a member of Church of the Harvest.
She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Eldridge Theodore, Willie Charles and Jacob Corry Baker; and her sisters, Nancy Icle, Callie Dyer and Floye Mae Baker. Survivors include a stepdaughter, Mary Elizabeth Betts; a special friend, Ruth Earp; several nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews.
