James Ross, 64-year-old Five-in-one resident, died in a local hospital Tuesday morning after a brief illness.
Funeral arrangements will be announced by Sullivan Funeral Home.
Mr. Ross was born Jan. 21, 1895, in Kaufman County, Texas, and married Miss Jewel Marsh in Terrell June 23, 1920. They moved to Wilbarger County the following year and settled in what was known as the Haney community. They have lived in that section since coming to Wilbarger County. He was a member of Lockett Baptist Church and Thalia Masonic Lodge. Mr. Ross was a World War I veteran.
Surviving are his wife; two sons, Jessie Ross of Shreveport, La., and Harold Ross of Lamesa; three grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Grady Price of Five-in-One and Mrs. D.D. Shook of Iowa Park; and a half brother, Ernest Williams of Amarillo.
