Martha H. Vinson was born on September 1, 1824, in Alabama, the child of Issac and Margaret Peggy (Harrison) Vinson. She married her first husband, Milton Sample, on July 2, 1849 in Autuaga County AL. They had Alexander Sample. She married her second husband, John Watters, on October 31, 1858, in Rusk County, Texas. She married her third husband, John Russell Terry, on June 18, 1861. They had a daughter Emma Jane Terry who is my husband's great grandmother who married Robert Henry Parr. Martha died on June 22, 1906, in Rusk County, Texas, having lived a long life of 81 years, and was buried in Joinerville, Rusk, Texas at Mt Hope Cemetery. It is just out of Henderson, Rusk, Texas.
