Betty Jo (Hough) Abernathy, 78, of Borger, passed away, Sunday, March 31, 2013 in Amarillo, TX
Betty Jo Abernathy was born March 7, 1935 in Borger, Texas to Truman Dodd and Syble Belle (Garth) Hough. She married James Abernathy on August 3, 1953 in Clovis, New Mexico.
She is preceded in death by her father Truman Dodd Hough and a daughter Becky Lynn Nalley.
Survivors include her husband James Abernathy of Borger, mother Syble Hough Gregory of Borger, and a brother Don and Juanita Hough of Borger.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30PM, Thursday, April 4, 2013 at the Bible Baptist Church in Borger, TX with burial to follow at Highland Park Cemetery in Borger, TX.
Mrs. Abernathy will lie in state in Borger on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 from 8:00AM~8:00PM and Thursday, April 4, 2013 from 8:00AM~12:00PM.

BORGER — Betty Jo Hough Abernathy, 78, of Borger died Sunday, March 31, 2013, in Amarillo.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Bible Baptist Church in Borger. Burial will follow in Highland Park Cemetery in Borger. Arrangements are by Brown Funeral Directors of Borger.
Mrs. Abernathy was born March 7, 1935, in Borger to Truman Dodd and Syble Belle Garth Hough. She married James Abernathy on Aug. 3, 1953, in Clovis, N.M.
Survivors include her husband; her mother, Syble Hough Gregory of Borger; and a brother, Don Hough of Borger.
