PHARR — Rosa Ruiz Chapa, 65, died Thursday, February 12, 2015, at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ricardo Leonardo Chapa, Sr.; a son, Antonio Chapa and her parents, Carlos Ruiz and San Juanita Zamora.
Mrs. Chapa is survived by her seven children, Ricardo (Marina) Chapa of San Antonio, Carlos Chapa, Sylvia Garcia, Zenaida Chapa, all of Pharr, Maria Gomez (Ernesto), Emma Martinez, both of Alamo, Dora (Cipriano) Gallardo of McAllen; 18 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held, with a rosary at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at St. Jude's Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment will follow at San Juan Cemetery.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
