Obituary:
Gilberto Ramirez, 85, died Friday, January 31, 2014, at his residence in San Juan. Born in Roma, Texas, he had lived in San Juan all of his life.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Irma S. Ramirez; his parents, Felipe and Estela Ramirez; three brothers and two sisters.
Gilberto is survived by 11 children, Rene (Irma) Ramirez, Nora (Jose) Moreno, Gilberto (Teresa) Ramirez, Felipe (Rosa) Ramirez, Javier (Gloria) Ramirez, Orlando (Anita) Ramirez, all of San Juan, Diana (Federico) Guerra, Mario (Alicia) Ramirez, both of McAllen, Benita (Teodoro) Salazar, of Edinburg, Estela (Juan) Rangel, and Julissa (Jose) Cantu, both of Pharr; 46 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Sunday, February 2, 2014, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m., Monday, February 3, 2014 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish in San Juan. Interment will follow at San Juan Cemetery.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.

Obituary:
Irma S. Ramirez, 77, died Tuesday, July 31, 2012, at McAllen Medical Center. Born in Fronton, TX, Mrs. Ramirez had lived in San Juan all of her life. Irma is preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Benita Sandoval; two sisters, Oralia Sandoval and Tomasa Martinez; two brothers, Cesar and Roel Sandoval; and one grandchild, Ron Ramirez.

She is survived by her husband, Gilberto Ramirez of San Juan; 11 children, Rene Sergio (Irma) Ramirez of San Juan, Nora E. (Jose Santos) Moreno of Pharr, Gilberto (Teresa) Ramirez, Jr., Felipe (Maria) Ramirez, both of San Juan, Dora Diana (Federico) Guerra, Mario Jaime (Alicia) Ramirez, both of McAllen, Benita (Teodoro) Salazar of Edinburg, Javier (Gloria) Ramirez, Orlando (Anita) Ramirez, both of San Juan, Estela (Juan) Rangel and Julissa (Jose) Cantu, both of Pharr; 45 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Aida S. Martinez of San Antonio, TX.

Visitation: 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary August 2, 2012, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service at 10 a.m. Friday, August 3, 2012, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish in San Juan. Interment at San Juan Cemetery.
