Husband of Apsey
Private Barfield served in the CSA 1862-1864. He was killed at 59 years of age in the Battle of Crator, and is buried in Petersburg, Virginia, in a mass grave. We erected this monument here with his wife, and some of his family to memorialize his life. I am his 3rd great granddaughter. Deloris Taylor Gueterman
