Mrs. Faustina Brito Perez, 100, died Monday at Retama Manor.
She was a member of a Brownsville pioneer family. Her father was the sheriff of Cameron County during the late 1800s.
She is survived by foster son, Alfonso Gonzalez of Brownsville, three great grand nephews, Jose Brito Jr. of Brownsville, Carlos Brito of Corpus Christi and Antonio Brito of Anchorage Alaska; five great grandnieces, Mrs. Julia O. Tamez, Miss Bourdes Brito, both of Brownsville; and Mrs. Eugenio Zuniga of San Antonio; Mrs. Thomas Scharf of San Bernadino, Calif. and Mrs. Ted Coran of Kulomont, Penn.
A rosary will be said today at 8 PM at Brownsville Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 4 PM at St. Joseph Catholic Church with burial at City Cemetery.
Brownsville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
