George Mosely was a very dedicated family man With a love for machinery. It was this love of machinery that led him to join a young inventors club, and to invent the mine sweeper that was used to clear the English Channel in WWI. It was this achievement that got George an invitation from Thomas A Edison to join his team of inventors. However, being the devout family man he was, George declined so he could take care of his grandmother, after his mother's death.
