Ida Mae (Maxie) Brown
Born July 4, 1938 to the Union of the late, George and Corine Maxie of Bivins, Texas. She later joined the First Baptist Church of Warrington. She attended Fairview School, Kilgore, Texas.
Ida Mae “Maxie” Brown, age 77, departed this life on June 29, 2016. She worked on the military base for 34 years until she retired in 2010. She was preceded in death by her son, Joesph Lee Brown, Jr.; sisters, Georgia Mae Crawford, Pearlie Brooks, Katie Maxie, Delores Peel; three brothers, Johnnie, Andrew, Eddie, Nalvester Maxie.
Her survivors include her husband, Joesph Lee Brown, Sr.; two sons, Jeffrey (Tayaneka) Brown and Clifford (Carrie) Brown, both of Pensacola, Florida; three sisters, Clara Maxie of Dallas, Texas; Ernice Daniels of Bivins, Texas; Shirley Maxie Barbour of Dallas, Texas; two brothers, Samuel Maxie of Austin, Texas, Ray Maxie of Desota, Texas; eleven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren whom she loved so dearly with all her heart; and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to express a great thanks to Covenant Care of Pensacola.
A visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Trahan Family Funeral Home on Thursday, July 7, 2016.
