*Obituary
Berry Lee Brown, 59 year old Maud man, was fatally injured Tuesday when a rim blew off of a tire he was repairing and struck him between the eyes, fracturing his skull. Mr. Brown was a native of Omaha and a sister, Mrs. J. O. Vickers, still lives there. He was inured about 10:30 a.m. Tuesday while repairing a truck tire at a Maud service station and was taken to a Texarkana hospital. He died at 8:50 p.m. Tuesday. Mr. Brown was born in Omaha but moved to Maud 41 years ago. He was a member of the Concord Baptist Church near Omaha. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Thursday at the Missionary Baptist Church at Maud with the Rev. C. T. Kirkindoll and the Rev. Dallas Lankford officiating. Burial was in the Center Ridtge Cemetery at Maud.
