Avonne Johnson, 86, of Abilene, left this earth in the presence of her dear family and friends to enter into the arms of her Father God in Heaven on Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at an Abilene care center. Graveside services will be at 4:00 p.m. Friday, August 31, 2012, at the Clyde Cemetery, under the direction of Bailey-Howard Funeral Home in Clyde. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.
Avonne was born September 4, 1925 in Baird, Texas, to Edgar L. and Ora Alpha (Jones) Johnson, moved to Clyde when she was four years old. She attended Clyde schools and taught piano lessons. She moved to Abilene in 1974 and lived with her mother and sister. Avonne was a caring person who loved animals.
Avonne was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Shirley May Jones, Essie Lee Johnson and Sarah E. Pilcher; and one brother. J. R. Johnson.

Essie Lee "Tee" Johnson, 91, of Abilene, died Friday at an Abilene care center.
Graveside services will be Monday at 2:00 p.m. at the Clyde Cemetery with Weldon Gann officiating under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home of Clyde.
Mrs. Johnson was born March 5, 1914 in Sweetwater to Edgar L. and Ora Alpha (Jones) Johnson. She grew up in Clyde and graduated from Clyde High School. She moved to Abilene from Clyde in 1939. She was a retired sales lady having worked at McClellans and Fulwiler Jewelers. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents and 1 sister Shirley May Jones and 1 brother J. R. Johnson.
