Helen Louise Craft was born on April 23, 1914 to Ben and Helen (Harkey) Johnson in Graham, Texas. She passed away on September 25, 2008 in Jacksboro, Texas. She was 94 years old.

She married J.D. Craft on December 2, 1933 in Graham, Texas. She was an active member of the Jacksboro community for years being involved in PTA, Cubmaster Boy Scouts of America as well a member of and the organist at First United Methodist Church. But first and foremost she was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years J. D. Craft and her daughter Linda Craft.

Those left behind to cherish her dear memory are her son Jerry Craft and wife Pamela of Jacksboro, Texas; her three grandchildren Jay Craft and wife Sanni of the St. Croix, United States Virgin Islands, Sue Helen McMahan and husband Rock of Austin, Texas and Clint Craft and wife Nadine of Jacksboro, Texas; and 4 great-grandchildren Hannah-Beth Heath of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Jeremy and Helen Mabrie McMahan of Austin, Texas and Emma Louise Craft of St. Croix, US Virgin Islands.

Services will be held on Sunday September 28, 2008 at 3 pm at the First United Methodist Church in Jacksboro, Texas with Rev. David Weber.

There will also be a reception to honor Mrs. Craft at the home of Jerry and Pam Craft immediately following the service.
