This cemetery is on private land about 100 yards south of the southern end of Ancestral Trail Road and the old Wilhelm Weidner Homestead building (which survives in use and has a Texas Historical Marker). The cemetery contains only 3 known graves, and was registered as a Historic Texas Cemetery by descendants of Wilhelm & Marie Weidner, designated as the "Wilhelm Weidner Cemetery" (CM-C09) by the Texas Historical Commission on 26-Mar-2002. A dedication ceremony was held by descendants on 24-Apr-2004 when a marker was placed at the end of Ancestral Trail. Various names have been used over the years, such as Weidner Cemetery, Weidner Cemetery #1 or Wilhelm Weidner Homestead Cemetery. The book "Lest We Forget" by the Comal County Genealogy Society documents the three graves as found in 1989 on page 138, under the name "Weidner Cemetery". Two other cemeteries with the name Weidner are within several miles, which occasionally causes confusion.
