Valley View resident, Harold Lynn Alexander, 68, passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth. He was born December 2, 1947 in Mountain Springs, to Alton and Lucille (Scoggin) Alexander. Harold married his high school sweetheart, Jeannie Muller, June 10, 1966. He was an electrician by trade and was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was known as "Pop". Harold raised beagles and fox hounds and ran them. He served on the Valley View School Board for fifteen years. He was an avid Valley View Eagles supporter and coached baseball for many years.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 25th at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Gainesville, with Murry McMurray and Rev. Glenn Kersey officiating. Interment will follow at New Hope Cemetery. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. A visitation will be held at Meador Funeral Home Chapel Wednesday, August 24th from 6 to 8 p.m.

Survivors include his wife of fifty years, Jeannie Alexander of Valley View; children and their spouses, Michael and Kerrie Alexander of Justin, Lori Epperson of Mountain Springs, Jamie and Richard Burch of Valley View, Keith and Amy Alexander of Forestburg and Che and Ronnie Metcalfe of Mountain Springs; grandchildren, Tori, Clint, Andee, Brody, Brett, Landon, Aaron, Linden and Tripp; siblings Kenneth and Danny Alexander of Mountain Springs, Geraldean Evins of Gainesville and Gayla Brinkley of Gainesville and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents two sons-in-law, Andy Renfro and Chris Epperson.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Valley View ISD.
