Nancy Gilmore Parks, 56, of Quitman, Texas, died Thursday, April 20, 2006 in Denton, TX. after a long battle with cirrhosis of the liver. Services were held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 26 at Bates-Cooper-Sloan Chapel with interment following at Concord Cemetery under the direction of Bates-Cooper-Sloan Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Bobby Sticher, Kenneth Jeansonne, Thomas Bowman, Glenn Gordon, Jack Smith and Rick Shafer. Mrs. Parks was born on February 6, 1950 in Mount Pleasant, the daughter of Ottis Lee Gilmore and Bess Martin Gilmore. She was a manger of G.T.E. She was a Baptist. She is survived by her husband R. Larry Parks of Quitman; daughter and son-in-law Tammy and Keith Litchfield of Denton; grand-children Jessica, Randy and Emily Litchfield; her parents Bess Martin and O. L. Gilmore; brother and sister-in-law Roy and Janis Gilmore of Simms; sister and brother-in-law Cindy and Allen McConn of Valley View; aunt Mary Gilmore; uncles Preacher and Tommy Gilmore and Buck and Gladys Martin; a niece, two nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her aunts Patsy Bickley and Claudine Pool and an uncle, Morris Gilmore. (S Row 20)
