Mrs. George E. Kimmel died at her family home in the Concord community at 2 o'clock Wednesday night of last week from the effects of pneumonia. Lillie Mae, daughter of the late John M. and Mary Coffey, pioneer settlers of the Concord community, was born September 11, 1884. She was married to George E. Kimmel in 1902 and they established their family home in the same community in which she was reared. To this union was born three children. Surviving to mourn the death of their loved one is her husband; one son, John Kimmel, two daughters, Mrs. Merl Beasley and Mrs. Willie Boozer, all of the Concord community; three brothers, W. E. Coffey of Quanah, R. N. Coffey of Dallas, and H. B. Coffey of Fort Worth; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Ledbetter and Mrs. Virgil Leeves of Dallas and five grandchildren. Funeral rites were conducted from the Concord church by Rev. A. J. Findley at 2:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon. Burial was made in the Concord cemetery beneath a mound of beautiful flowers. Pall bearers were R. W. Rivers, D. Belyeu, Jim Talley, A. F. Morris, H. C. McCollum and Dewey Garrett. (Row 4 SW)

G. E. Kimmel of the Concord community received very painful injuries Sunday evening as a result of falling from the barn loft while getting down feed for his stock. He was taken to a Texarkana Hospital Monday, and an examination showed that he had received a broken collar bone, one broken rib and a small cut in one lung. At last report he was doing as well as could be expected, and will possibly have to remain in the hospital for about a week.

George E. Kimmell, 80 year old Omaha man, died about 7:15 p.m. Wednesday at the hospital here. He had been taken to the hospital earlier in the afternoon by the Hanner Funeral Home ambulance. An inquest was held following his death and Justice of the Peace Joe Martin ruled suicide from arsenic poisoning. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Hattie Kimbell of Omaha; one daughter, Mrs. Sybil Beasley of Omaha; one son John Kimbell of Omaha; one sister Mrs. Ella Harrott of Henderson; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Thursday at the Concord Baptist Church with the Rev. Clifford Longino officiating assisted by the Rev. Aldous Smith.
