Services for Mr. Bobby Glenn Tigert, 60, Daingerfield, Texas, was Thursday, August 12, 2010, at 6:00 p.m. at Concord Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Nolan Richey and the Rev. Scott Darby officiating. Mr. Tigert was born January 5, 1940. He died August 9, 2010. He fought diabetes, heart disease, and finally a battle with lung and brain cancer. He was blessed to be able to remain at home with the care of his wife, children, neighbors, friends, many family members and Life Care Hospice. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, was an employee of Lone Star Steel for 42 years, was a member of the local Union 4134 and a member of Concord Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Thelma Tigert, sister, Dorothy Nell Bisang; father-in-law Jack Dudley; and grandson Josh Smith. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Gayle Tigert of Daingerfield; daughters Bealinda and Kenneth Krum of Longview, Sondra and Rod Smith of Petrolia, Texas, Shelly and Ken Beadle of Mt. Pleasant, and Shannon and Brandon Strickland of Daingerfield; son Glynn and Becky of Daingerfield; four sisters Frankie and Jim Berry of Naples, Wilma Jo and John Paul Vissering of Naples, Katherine and Charles Hicks of El Paso, and Mary Jane Hoskins of Rocky Branch; one brother Jerry Ray and Paula Tigert of Katy; mother-in-law, Syble Dudley; brothers-in-law, Ted Dudley of Hughes Springs and Jimmy Bisang of Wink; sister-in-law Debbie and Luther Westmoreland of Hughes Springs; seven grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins; a loving church family; and a host of family and friends. Burial will be at sunset in Concord Cemetery. (SoSec G, Row 1, Lot 20)
