Services for Mr. Cecil M. Keene, 82, of Omaha were Tuesday, April 15, 2003 at Concord Baptist Church with the Rev. Nolan Richey officiating. Mr. Keene was born April 12, 1921 in Fedscreek, KY. He died Saturday, April 12, 2003 in Omaha. He was a retired farmer and rancher, a veteran World War II, a member of Concord Baptist Church and a long time resident of Omaha. Survivors include his wife, Maxine Carpenter Keene of Omaha; one son Terry Keene of Omaha; one daughter and son-in-law, Shannon and Richard Dale of Naples; two brothers Jack Fuller and Ben Fuller both of Fedscreek, KY; one sister Nickie Pugh of Fedscreek, KY; three grandchildren Misty Perry of Omaha, Britton Keene of Wood River, IL and Trace Keene of NC; and one great-grandchild. Interment was at Concord Cemetery. (SoSec N, Row 2, Lot 6)

Services for Mrs. Maxine Keene, 85, of Omaha, were March 15, 2010, at Concord Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Nolan Richey officiating. Mrs. Keene was born February 27, 1925, in Omaha. She died March 12, 2010, in Omaha. She was a retired accountant from Red River Army Depot, and a member of Concord Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Keene in 2003; parents, James and Blanche Carpenter; five brothers, Bobby Carpenter, Marvin Carpenter, Kelly Carpenter, Buddy Carpenter, and John Carpenter; and one sister, Hildred Hicks. Survivors include one son, Terris Keene of Omaha; a daughter and son-in-law, Shannon and Richard Dale of Omaha; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, James Milton and Mary Carpenter of Naples, V. C. and Tribah Carpenter of Cookville, and Lynn Carpenter of Minnesota; one sister and brother-in-law, Pauline and Hugh Barfield of Omaha; three grandchildren, Misty Perry, Britt Keene and Trace Keene; and three great-grandchildren, Remington Perry, Addison Perry and Avery Perry. Burial was in Concord Cemetery. (SoSec N, Row 2, Lot 8)
