GAINESVILLE - Sibyl Irene Butts of Gainesville, a retired licensed vocational nurse, died Monday at a Gainesville nursing home. She was 87.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Vernie Keel Funeral Home in Gainesville. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Gainesville.
Mrs. Butts was born in the Marysville community in Cooke County.
She formerly was employed in nursing homes as a nurse.
Mrs. Butts was a member of Commerce Street Church of Christ in Gainesville.
Survivors: Three sons, Fane C. Butts of Whitesboro, Jimmy Butts of Leonard and Raymond Butts of Gainesville; two daughters, Betty Hibbard of Sherwood Shores and Ann Woods of Gainesville; brother, Aubrey Sapp of Arizona; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
