Janis "Jan" Jean Coffman Good, 65, of Dallas, passed away on July 10, 2018, after a long battle with cancer. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery.

Jan was born in Gainesville, Texas, to the late Ralph Herschel and Ira Jean "Jeanie" Stevens Coffman. She graduated from Dimond High School in Anchorage, Alaska. She was a member of the Alpha Sigma Alpha sorority at Dallas Baptist University (then Dallas Baptist College) and graduated magna cum laude from the University of North Texas.

Jan was an elementary school teacher in the Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD for many years. Beloved by her students, she endeavored to make learning fun. In the latter years of her career, she became an instructional facilitator, so that she could share her knowledge and experience with other teachers.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Jerry Ralph Coffman.

Survivors include her loving husband of 45 years, Robert Ogden "Butch" Good II; daughter, Jennifer Good Walker and her husband, Richard; grandchildren, Evangeline, Creed and Annalise Walker, of Dallas; sisters, Donna Coffman Allen and her husband, Kevin, of Colleyville, TX, and Elizabeth "Bitsy" Coffman Cliburn and her husband, Joe, of Greenwood, LA; nieces and nephews: Paige, Emily, Morgan, Shannon, Savannah, Holly, Hannah, Bethany, Elaine, Marshall, and Andy; and great-niece/nephews Beckham, Lilah Jean, and Eli.
