Services for Marilyn Morrison, 70, of Gainesville are set for 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Huffman officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home of Gainesville.

Mrs. Morrison died Oct. 13, 2006, at Denton Regional Medical Center.

She was born Sept. 23, 1936, in Carmona to Walter and Ruth Dugan Carden. On Nov. 28, 1981, she married Bill Morrison in Gainesville. She was a homemaker and a member of Grace Friendship Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Bill Morrison of Gainesville; father, Walter Carden of Texas City; sons and daughters-in-law, Curtis and Susan Ramsey of Gainesville, Bobby and Joyce Davis of Whitesboro, and Kenny and Becky Davis of Gainesville; daughters and sons-in-law, Janilyn and Sam Jones of Gainesville, Gala and Brett Pettit of Hickory Creek; step-daughters, Tina Hill and Sharon Tillman, both of Gainesville; brothers, Don Carden of Livington, Kenneth Carden of American Fork, Utah, Larry Carden of Houston, David Carden of Houston, Billy Ramsey of Lake Tahoe, Jessie Ramsey of Sacramento, Calif., and Tommy Ramsey of Ponder; sisters, Ramona King of Texas City, Renetta Carden of Texas City, Cordelia Lynn of Texas City, Joyce King of Carson City, and Jeaquitta Chambers of Texas City; step-sisters, Delores Burkhart and Earlene Brown, both of Whitesboro; 11 grandchildren; sister-in-law, Fay Goodson of Euless; and a number of cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother in 1988; and by a sister, Judy Francine.

Pallbearers are Curtis Ramsey, Kenny Davis, Bobby Davis, Bryan Davis, Robert Hembree and Brett Pettit.
