Funeral services for Hazel Argo, 97, of Gainesville, are scheduled for 2:00 PM on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home with Johnny Moore officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Monday, August 27 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Argo passed away August 26, 2018 in Gainesville.
Hazel was born July 27, 1921 in Cooke County to William Felton and Myrtle Viola (Henry) Cantrell. She enjoyed cooking and had an extensive doll collection.
Survivors include: daughter Barbara Cravens and husband Kenneth of Gainesville; son Melvin McGilvray of Gainesville; son Richard McGilvray and wife Barbara of Meridian, MS; son Lee McGilvray and wife Jean of Gainesville; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Argo was preceded in death by: her parents; husband Bryant Argo; four brothers; two sisters; three grandsons; and one granddaughter.
