Ironhead was born in Circle Back to Earnest Elmer and Ruby Damron Garner. He passed away at his residence on November 30, 2010
Dwayne loved to hunt and fish. He graduated Gainesville High School in 1952 and then served 4 years in the US Navy as a sea bee. He worked for Santa Fe Railroad for forty two years, serving as local chairman for seventeen years. Dwayne married Arlena Pond in Mule Shoe on August 6, 1994.
Ironhead is survived by his wife Arlena, two sons, sister Marilyn, brother Bill, sister Doris, seven grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.
