Barbara Miller Luke, beloved mother and grandmother, passed in peace on May 20th, 2013. Services will be at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home on Thursday, May 23rd at 10:00 am with a graveside internment following at the Fairview Cemetery. No visitation is planned.
Born May 26, 1940 in Nocona, Texas Barbara moved to Gainesville, TX as a young child. Barbara graduated from Gainesville High School in the class of 1957. She spent her life enjoying the love of many friends and family in her home town. Barbara is survived by her son, Trey Stamps with wife Linda and grandchildren Turner and Melia of Grapevine, Texas; her son, Randy Miller with wife Lisa and grandchild Garrett Miller of Muenster; Grandchildren Kailob Miller and Taylor Miller of Ardmore, Oklahoma with great-grandchildren Ridge and Haidyn. She is also survived by her sister, Vickie Neiman of Denton, Texas and sister-in-law Sue Goodwin Dyer of Gainesville.
Barbara was preceded in death by her father, Bob O. Henley, Mother, Geraldine Reedy and step father Homer Reedy of Gainesville, Texas. She was also preceded by husbands, Mac Miller of Gainesville, Dan Luke of Muenster and Roy Stamps Jr. of Venus, Texas.
Barbara Miller Luke worked at Gainesville National Bank for years meeting many friends. Her beloved friends of the 50's Gals Club were important parts of her family as well, and the family thanks them for all of their love and support. She resided and was cared for at River Valley Health & Rehab Center her last few years and our gratitude for their devoted & loving care will never be forgotten.
The family graciously thanks the Nurses Carla, Rhonda, Charlotte along with the entire staff at River Valley who gave Barbara loving support and care during her time there. Our gratitude also goes to the Home Hospice Staff that helped her and family during her transition to Heaven.
Pallbearers will be: Turner Stamps, Garrett Miller, Kailob Miller, Jamey Richards, Jeff Brown and Mike Hargesheimer.
Although shortened, Barbara lived a full life filled with love from her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.
