Funeral Services for Loveta Lane, 91, of Granbury, formerly of Gainesville, Texas, will be held Monday, September 22, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Meador Clement-Keel Funeral Home Chapel, Gainesville, Texas, with Reverend's Rick and Kevin Lane officiating. Interment will follow the services at Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday, September 21, 2014 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Lane died Friday, September 19, 2014 in Granbury, Texas.
She was born July 30, 1923 in Clarita, Oklahoma to John W. Wallis and Bertha S. (Smith) Wallis. She married James W. Lane, December 11, 1942 in Coalgate, Oklahoma. They were married 71+ years.
She moved to Gainesville in 1956 and was a member of First United Methodist Church of Gainesville, Texas for many, many years.
She is survived by her husband, James W. Lane of Granbury, Texas; daughter, Sandra and husband, Randy Broom of Granbury; 2 granddaughters; Ronda and husband, Kevin Frankie of Tampa, Florida; Jaimie Young of New Braunfels, Texas; 4 great-grandchildren; Kynan Frankie, McKenzie Frankie, Dylan Young and Lane Young; 2 sisters, Ethel Hall and Faye Moody of Oklahoma.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John & Bertha Wallis and several brothers and sisters.
