Graveside services for Millard E. Hudson were Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in Fairview Cemetery, Gainesville, Texas, with Rev. David Whittington of Woodbine Baptist Church officiating.
Mr. Hudson was born February 20, 1917, at Thackerville and died October 24, 1996, in Muenster Memorial Hospital. He was the son of Earl and Lee Floyd Hudson.
Mr. Hudson was a member of the First Baptist Church of Gainesville and a former member of the Thackerville Masonic Lodge. He and the former Mildred Bratcher were married September 2, 1939, in Marietta.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mildred Hudson; two daughters, Rita Frost of Justin, Texas, and Beverly Shaffer of Marietta; two sisters, Bernice Comer and Merle Mercer of Gainesville; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Mr. Hudson was preceded in death by a brother, Delbert Hudson.
Graveside services for Mildred Hudson, 90, of Marietta, Okla., are scheduled for 2 p.m., Saturday, April 18, 2009, at Fairview Cemetery with Rev. David Whittington, Baptist Minister, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Clement-Keel Funeral Home, Gainesville, Texas. Mrs. Hudson died April 16, 2009, at Lake County Nursing Home in Marietta.
Mildred Hudson was born May 7, 1918, in Wheatland, Okla., to James Albert and Martha (Worthman) Bratcher. She married Millard Hudson Sept. 2, 1939, in Marietta. He preceded her in death Oct. 24, 1996. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include daughter, Beverly Shaffer of Marietta, and daughter and son-in-law, Rita and Bill Frost of Justin; sisters, Lena Koonce and Lois Rouse, both of Marietta; grandchildren and spouses, Sheila and Jay Barrick of Marietta, Tonya and Bill Fussell of Thackerville, Christy and Rex Swearingin of Marietta, Michelle and Ralph Tretsch of Sanger, Brian and Heather Frost of New Braunfels; great-grandchildren, Jacy Barrick, Tayler Barrick, Kendra Hinkley, Tague Hinkley, Parker Millsap, Will Trietsch, Casey Trietsch and Tyler Frost. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son-in-law, Glenn Shaffer; three brothers and five sisters
