Wilson - Services for Mr. James Maurice Todd, Sr., 91, of Healdton are scheduled for 3:00 PM Saturday, October 10, 2015 at Alexander Funeral Home Chapel in Wilson with Rev. Dustin Gardner officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Gainesville, TX. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson.

James Todd, Sr. was born February 28, 1924 to the late Mr. Levi Todd and Mrs. Sallie Belle (Berry) Todd. He departed this life Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at Ringling.

James was raised at Clemscott attending school at Graham. He initially drove for Abels and Son Machine Shop at Healdton before entering the U.S. Army on January 12, 1943 at Oklahoma City. James served overseas for 21 months in the Pacific Theater. He operated the electric director on a 40mm gun. James received his honorable discharge from WWII on December 28, 1945. He married the former Ms. Mary Margaret Gibbs in 1955 at Denton, TX. The couple resided mainly in Gainesville and lastly worked at Sears in Denton. James loved going fishing. He attended the Christ Chapel Pentecostal Church of Healdton.

Preceding him in death were his Parents; wife, Mary Margaret Todd on November 24, 1988; daughter, Carolyn Price; two sisters, Margie Adams and Betty Jane Garrison.

Survivors include his daughter, Marolyn Allen and husband Lonnie of Lone Grove; son, James M. Todd, Jr. of Ardmore; one sister, Margaret Rodgers and husband Charles of Duncan; 11 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 10 great great grandchildren; numerous other family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Mike Allred, James Stubblefield, Brad Stubblefield, Cade Stubblefield, Don Adams, and Brett Stubblefield.
