Loraine T. Fielder, 93, passed away August 26, 2016 at her residence in New Braunfels. Loraine was born in Whitesboro (Grayson County), Texas on Wednesday January 24, 1923 to Bessie Eula (Sewell) and James Zelbert Tamplin. She married J.C. Fielder on December 23, 1940 in Marietta, (Love County) Oklahoma. They moved to San Diego, California after their marriage and lived there until J.C. went into the Navy in October, 1943. Loraine moved to Gainesville, Texas and worked at JC Penney for three years while J.C. was in the service. They went back to San Diego in February of 1946, where they lived until November of 1978, when they moved back to Gainesville. J.C. passed away on November 13, 1993. Loraine continued living in Gainesville where she was a member of Commerce Street Church of Christ until October 5, 2007 when she moved to New Braunfels.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 3rd at Meador Funeral Home Chapel with Jason Fielder officiating. Christian Fielder, Chris Fielder, Jason Fielder, Lynn Tamplin, Wesley Tamplin and Ronnie Fielder will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be held Saturday morning from 9:00 to 10:00 before the service.

Survivors of Loraine Fielder include her son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Sharon Fielder of New Braunfels; grandchildren, Christopher Fielder and wife, MaShou of Leander and Jason Fielder and wife, Dawn of Krum and great-grandchildren, Kate, Brynna, Hailey and Christian. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; son, Kenneth Fielder and brother, J.H. Tamplin.
