Travis Wesley Robeson, 67, of Stanton, died March 22, 1976 at the Veteran’s Hospital in Big Spring after a lengthy illness.

He was born March 21, 1909 at Hood and moved to Stanton in 1966. He was a mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service and a veteran of World War II. He was married to Frances Butcher Jan. 3, 1961, in Stanton.

Survivors include his widow; one sister, Mrs. Myrtle Gabel of Ventura, Calif.; two brothers, Howard Robeson of Mariposa, Calif., and Arlie Robeson of Kingston, Oklahoma.

Services were at 3 p.m. Tuesday, March 23, 1976 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Stanton. Graveside services were at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 24, 1976 in Fairview Cemetery in Gainesville.
