Funeral services for Alta Mae Goff, 97, of Gainesville were Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at Meador Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Floyd Flowers officiating. Interment was at Fairview Cemetery. Meador Funeral Home, Gainesville, Texas, in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Goff passed away Sunday, April 3, 2016 in Whitesboro. She was born on February 1, 1919 in Carthage, Texas to Monroe and Zadie Waits. She married Paul Goff September 3, 1935 in Marshall, Texas. She was a member of the First Pentecostal Church.. She had a great sense of humor and loved her family dearly.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, David and Josephine Goff of Houston; daughter and son-in-law, Pauline and Ralph Kirk of Gainesville, grandchildren, Lisa McCulley, Rhonda Kirk, Wade Kirk, Stephanie Ingle, Jason Kirk, Amanda Kirk, Sam Goff, Kenny Goff, Teddy Johnson and Ricky Johnson, numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Goff in 1987, parents; daughter, Katherine Johnson; six brothers; one granddaughter and three great-grandchildren.
