Johann Traugott Droigk was born in August 1839 in Weißkeißel, Saxony, Germany. He married Anna Budschick in 1863. They had six children in 12 years. He died in November 1915 in Fayette, Texas, having lived a long life of 76 years, and was buried in Lockett, Texas.
