Mrs. Sallie Stiles, Conoley Pioneer, Dies
Last Sunday
Mrs. Sallie Stiles, 85, died last Saturday at the home of her son, Frank, in the Conoley community, south of Thorndale. The funeral was held Sunday, Rev. J. E. McGaughey, pastor of the Thorndale Methodist church, officiating.
Mrs. Stiles was one of the pioneer residents of her community, having lived there for more than 60 years. She is survived by five children, as follows: Mrs. Emma Neve, of Austin; Mrs. G. W. Peebles, E. E. Stiles and Frank Stiles, of Thorndale; W. D. Stiles, of Taylor. She is also survived by 30 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
