When Billy Wayne Gentry and his twin brother Barney Zane were born on December 11, 1931, in Carrollton, Texas, their father, Robert, was 38, and their mother, Maude, was 33. He had seven siblings. He died on March 18, 1971, in Fort Worth, Texas, at the age of 39, and was buried in his hometown.
