When Lanie Elizabeth McDonald was born on June 12, 1903, in Stonewall, Texas, her father, James, was 30, and her mother, Ollie, was 18. She married Edward Aubrey McMahon on December 30, 1923, in her hometown. They had six children during their marriage. She died having lived for more than 100 years. She died on October 22, 2005, in Jayton, Texas, at the age of 102, and was buried in Peacock, Texas.

When Edward Aubrey McMahon was born on October 13, 1898, in Mills, Texas, his father, Edd, was 25 and his mother, Lizzie, was 28. He married Lanie Elizabeth McDonald on December 30, 1923, in Stonewall, Texas. They had six children during their marriage. He died on April 9, 1989, in Aspermont, Texas, at the age of 90, and was buried in Peacock, Texas.
