When Annie Almeda horton was born on November 5, 1901, in Missouri, her father, William, was 37, and her mother, Martha, was 22. She married george clayton Hallford on September 25, 1922, in Fort Worth, Texas. They had three children during their marriage. She died as a young mother on January 19, 1929, in Spur, Texas, at the age of 27.
